Abstract

This layer portrays the Multiple Deprivation Measure Rank (2017), this is a rank that is an overall indicator of how each SOA ranks for the 7 domains of deprivation as calculated by the Multiple deprivation measure. A higher rank indicates a higher score for deprivation across all the domains.  The domain scores are ranked, standardised and transformed to an exponential distribution, the values are then combined using specific weights for each domain which produces the overall measure.
